Tristan Chevillard - Sans Soleil
This series was taken around the shortest day of the year, when the sun is there only from 11 am to 1 pm, in Lapland. It tries to show how people live above the Artic Circle, on the edge of inhabited areas by Man. My subjects here are the rare traces of human presence, which somehow resist the conditions of this violent nature. A few buildings, a church, electric poles and a few carcasses are the only figures that emerge from the intact snow.
