"Here, in-between" aims to explore the loss of identity and increased alienation that occurs with migration, drawing from my own experience. Initially, there is an intention to reflect on the uncomfortable reality that leaving home behind creates: fear, isolation and the shock of no longer knowing how to act or communicate. In the process of working on these negative feelings, I become aware of my dual self and its functionality, making me shift the approach and focus on what is acquired rather than what has been lost. Facing the new situation from the perspective of self expansion, I rewrite the story and reconcile my old self with the person I have become.
